First impressions of the YSL All Hours Cushion were impressive. The packaging is luxurious, sleek, and feels high-end – a hallmark of the YSL brand. The compact itself is sturdy and feels substantial, perfect for travel. The puff applicator is soft and dense, making application smooth and even.
The foundation itself boasts a medium-to-full coverage, easily buildable to achieve a more dramatic look. The finish is a natural-looking matte, which I appreciate, as it prevents my combination skin from looking overly shiny throughout the day.
However, the YSL All Hours Cushion isn’t without its quirks. While it advertises long-lasting wear, I found that after about six hours, I needed a touch-up, particularly around my nose and chin where my skin tends to get oilier. This is a common issue with many matte foundations, and it's something to consider if you have very oily skin. Despite the touch-up requirement, the longevity is still impressive compared to other cushions I’ve tried.
